Why Facial Contouring?

Facial Contouring is the art of placing volumizing agents in order to indirectly influence lines, wrinkles and folds caused by the ageing process.

This is associated with a change in light reflection and light / shadow ratio which is more aesthetically pleasing.

In a young individual, the same principal can be applied in order to give a flat face more movement.

  • Lack of bony support necessitates this procedure earlier
  • Becomes more important as we age.
  • Indirectly influencing lines by altering facial contours can look more natural instead of placing large amounts of filler directly under the lines.
  • Volume addition to restore youthful features.
